Parallel port D-sub connectors are compatible with all industry standards. For better mating and retention forces, the ribbon style contact and boardlocks are used.
Engineering options
Parallel port D-sub connectors are available in vertical or right-angle orientations, with blue or black insulators. Three contact termination options (P.C. tail, solder cup or press-fit) are common. Many mounting options for panel mount or connector mating are available including through hole, threaded holes, with or without standoffs, and with or without boardlocks, they can also be supplied with or without latches. Right-angle connectors are available in regular or ‘upside-down’ versions.
